Mutant Guardians 1992 - 2010

Time for another redraw from my past. From 1992 (I know, another one... I was particularly prolific in the character designing department that year), heavily influenced by Mr. Liefeld and his X-Force/Youngblood characters, I present: Heat Wave, Hurricane, Four Blade, Vultura and Lightning collectively known as the MUTANT GUARDIANS! Ah, lots of metal bits and swords... and yes two of male characters have ponytails!

The team struck me as an action cartoon/action figure line with consistent uniforms (I even kept some metal shoulder pads). I made some pretty big changes to Hurricane (lost the sword for one) and even more major changes to Lightning (going for a more bug-like appearance, and less robot, they are mutants after all)!
