I haven't posted any work here in a while, so here's a revisit!
In 6th grade I created a team of characters based on the zodiac. They are begging for a reimagining. Here's the first of those: Cancer, the Crab! I thought it'd be fun to digitally ink and color the original to see if it helped my design... While 6th grade Dave would have thought that was awesome, I had to give it a spin into something I'd design today. I know... the helmet of the new version is a departure from my original, but I couldn't make the first one work without looking like a Kirby ripoff (which the original design was no doubt based on!)
Get used to that circle-with-two lines motif, it was on all of the original designs, and it always looked bad... who will I revisit next?
