Mad Mastodon 1992-2011 by DBed Mad Mastodon 1992-2011 by DBed
Ripped from 1992 and thrust into 2011, presenting the MAD MASTODON!

The original is kind of generic: early 1990’s physique with a solid colored action suit and a head… a head that looks like a vaguely elephantine sack. I thought “I can work with this,” and created the behemoth you see here.

“Denounced paleontologist and part time black market fossil dealer Marmaduke Miller was illegally digging in upstate New York when he came upon the skeletal remains of a rather large mastodon. The enormous bones were pock marked and riddled with small scarlet stones, meteorite fragments. Upon closer inspection, Miller touched the stones on the skull of the ancient beast. A release of extraterrestrial energy merged Miller and the mastodon into a single being obsessed with the extinction of mankind and the return of his long extinct kind.”

Hey, that's really awesome!

Funny enough, I created a Marvel OC that was like this years ago. His name was Arnold Torrence, but he was more known by Tusk, as in the Fleetwood Mac song. I wrote him in my stories as a villain, but I'm thinking of redefining him as an antiheroic or more neutral character.
