19 - Squirrel Grandma

For this year’s 30 Characters in 30 Days challenge [link] , I decided to try something different from my massive day-by-day story of characters that I put together last year [link]. Inspired by the incomparable AXE COP, I decided to turn the creative reins over to my 3 year old son. I wrote out the alphabet and had him create a character for each letter. He told me about the new superhero and guided me on their designs. It should be noted that all word balloon dialogue was also created by my three year old. So here we go, in no particular order…

SQUIRREL GRANDMA

My son thought that Tree Man needed a friend, so SQUIRREL GRANDMA was created. A masked squirrel, with boots and a t-shirt with a screw on it (I never found out why a screw though…) and a Western exclamation. I can see her hanging out with the jovial Tree Man.

* Side note: Though the character description was the same the entire time, a squirrel, the original name for this character was “SCREW GRANDMA.”
